About a month after the September 11th attacks, I took a trip home, and my father showed me around the World Trade Center site. Here are the Pictures I took. Some of them are blurry because there were so many people, it was hard to stay still and concentrate on taking pictures.
These pictures are interesting because of what's missing... The Twin Towers would have dominated these pictures.
These are pictures of what was left of Building 5.
The picture on the left shows windows that still haven't been repaired on a nearby building. The one on the right shows a car that's been about 4 blocks south since Sept. 11th.
This next set of pictures shows some of the damage, and what's left of some of the buildings.
Even a month later, buildings are still covered in dust. It covered everything, and even made it's way inside shops and office spaces. The bottom right pictures shows the disposal trucks lined up to bring debris away.
In these pictures you can see what's left of the exterior shells of the towers. It amazes me that anything is still left standing at all. In the bottom right picture, you can see some of the framework, and where the tower would have been.
Some day I want to own one of these... The HMMWV (Humvee) is my favorite All Terrain Vehicle.
Temporary cell phone towers.
